A remote research settlement where every structure measures, shelters or collects

Premise
Across an exposed desert field, a family of sentinels, observatories, water catchments and shaded laboratories turns environmental monitoring into a legible public settlement. Each structure has one job; together they make climate visible.

What the study had to solve
Transform a broad archive of speculative biomorphic architecture into one restrained, recruiter-facing system with credible programme, clear hierarchy and a distinct purpose—without presenting visual atmosphere as resolved engineering.

Production-aware next step
How the concept could become a working brief.
Further development would choose a hypothetical climate and research programme, map solar and wind exposure, quantify water capture and storage, rationalise structural families, define accessible routes and service access, separate public and controlled research zones, test material weathering and maintenance, and develop one sentinel, one shade tower and one water chamber to schematic-design level.
