01 / Interface façade — media, circulation and structure become one public signal.AI-assisted visual development, art-directed by Michelle Tasic · Independent concept study

Premise

A public institute makes production visible. Its façade behaves like a changing diagram; behind it, studios, assembly halls, responsive galleries and a simulation theatre let visitors follow an idea from spatial model to full-scale prototype to live experience.

The public does not enter a finished museum; it enters the act of making.

Challenge

What the study had to solve

Turn a varied archive of speculative buildings into one operationally legible institution with a recognisable identity, purposeful room sequence and visible production logic—without confusing visual spectacle with resolved architecture.

Audience

Who the world must work for

Experiential, museum, entertainment, branded-space and innovation teams looking for a senior creative director who can connect architecture, media and public programme; recruiters assessing AI visual direction as a system of decisions rather than a volume of images.

Narrative / design architecture

A sequence with consequence.

  1. 01Signal / The interface façade
  2. 02Relay / A distributed production outpost
  3. 03Infrastructure / The visible service spine
  4. 04Map / Programme becomes a circuit model
  5. 05Test / The reconfigurable prototype field
  6. 06Assemble / Full-scale work enters the hall
  7. 07Listen / Instruments extend into the garden
  8. 08Materialise / A surface becomes spatial media
  9. 09Gather / The responsive forum
  10. 10Broadcast / The simulation theatre

Selected visual sequence

The world develops frame by frame.

I curated the sequence to show how the idea develops across scale, atmosphere and function.

01 / Interface façade — media, circulation and structure become one public signal.
AI-assisted concept-development image of a remote night-time production outpost with blue illuminated laboratories, mechanical rooms and communications towers
02 / Night relay — a distributed production outpost tests the system beyond the city.
AI-assisted concept-development image of an exposed blue structural service spine containing gantries, transit lines and suspended technical rooms
03 / Service spine — gantries, transit and technical layers remain visible to the public.
AI-assisted concept-development image of an architectural programme model drawn as red, gold, black and pink spatial circuits across a gallery floor
04 / Circuit model — programme is mapped as routes, thresholds, stages and signal paths.
AI-assisted concept-development image of a vast public prototype floor organised by geometric rooms, pools, stairs and test installations beneath a glazed roof
05 / Prototype field — a reconfigurable floor supports installations, rooms and collective testing.
AI-assisted concept-development image of a full-scale blue media structure under assembly inside a glazed industrial hall with visible workers and service equipment
06 / Assembly hall — a full-scale media structure is tested before public deployment.
AI-assisted concept-development image of a public garden of suspended geometric instruments, illuminated spheres and lightweight experimental structures
07 / Signal garden — kinetic instruments extend the institution into the landscape.
AI-assisted concept-development image of a large perforated metallic media surface carrying changing bands of gold, blue, green and magenta light inside a public gallery
08 / Media surface — light, perforation and colour turn one wall into a spatial instrument.
AI-assisted concept-development image of an inhabitable reflective media membrane forming a stage, screen and public forum inside a bright cultural building
09 / Responsive forum — an inhabitable membrane shifts between image, stage and shared room.

10 / Simulation theatre — the final chamber combines performance, visualisation and live technical control.

World system

What holds the idea together.

  • 01Visible structural, circulation and technical layers
  • 02Public and back-of-house routes braided without conflict
  • 03Reconfigurable gallery floors and rigging zones
  • 04Fabrication, assembly, loading and maintenance logic
  • 05Media façade, wayfinding and live signal language
  • 06Networked city and remote-production nodes
  • 07Responsive surfaces and inhabitable display systems
  • 08Performance, acoustic and simulation infrastructure
  • 09Day-to-night public identity

Production-aware next step

How the concept could become a working brief.

Further development would select a hypothetical city and operating partner, define the programme and adjacencies, separate visitor, artist, staff and loading routes, rationalise structural spans and façade build-up, map power, data, AV, rigging and acoustic systems, establish an accessible public journey and egress strategy, specify a content pipeline for the responsive surfaces and prototype one gallery bay from daytime exhibition through live performance and overnight reset.

Competencies evidenced

The senior value behind the images.

  • Cross-disciplinary creative direction
  • AI visual-development curation
  • Cultural-destination and guest-journey design
  • Media, spatial and production-system thinking
